Privacy Policy

This policy explains what this website collects and why. It's written in plain language because that's how everything here is written.

What you share with me

If you send a message through the contact or workshop inquiry forms, I receive your name, email address, organization (if you include one), preferred timing, and your message. If you subscribe to the newsletter, I receive your email address and a note of where you signed up.

Where it lives

Submissions are stored in this site's database, accessible only to me as the site administrator. They are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. I use them to reply to you and, for the newsletter, to send occasional letters.

Email

When you submit a form, an email notification is sent to me so I can respond. You will only hear from me in reply to your message or through the newsletter you chose to receive.

Analytics

This site uses first-party analytics to understand which writing is read and how the site is used. These measures help me improve the work; they are not used to build advertising profiles, and no data is sold or shared with advertising networks.

Cookies

The site sets minimal local storage to remember that you have dismissed the cookie notice and to keep your reading preferences. It does not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any letter. You may request a copy of the information you have shared, or ask me to delete it, by writing to me through the contact page.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you would like your information removed, send a note and I will respond.

This site uses first-party analytics to learn what's worth reading, and stores a small local note to remember your preferences. Nothing is sold or shared. See the privacy policy.
